M/Medhat El-Kady: The project was launched at an earlier time than expected as a result of the positive role played by the economic zone, thanks to the support of President Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi.

Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, Prime Minister, and his entourage witnessed the inauguration of the “Kadmar International Company for International Transport and Logistics” project.

The Prime Minister listened to an explanation from Eng. Medhat Al-Qadi, Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of the “Kadmar” Group of Companies, who explained that the project is a logistical platform for handling containers, goods and cars, and preparing goods for export, as well as a platform dedicated to food industries for export.

El-Kady stressed that the project was launched earlier than scheduled, as a result of the positive role played by the Suez Canal Economic Zone, thanks to the support of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Republic, expressing his aspiration to repeat the economic zone model in other regions of Egypt, with what it provides. A favorable environment to attract investments and encourage them to expand.

He added that the project occupies an area of 21,488 square meters for the first and second phases, with a total investment cost of $20 million for the two phases. The project will accommodate as a first phase 5,000 TEUs and 2,500 pallets of goods. The project will provide about 105 direct workers and 100 indirect workers. , in the first and second phases, and it is scheduled that the total area of ​​the project, after the completion of its phases, will reach about 109 thousand square meters, so that its total investment cost will be 35 million dollars, and the volume of employment in it will be about 500 direct and indirect.

The Vice-Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Kadmar Group of Companies indicated that the project represents a specialized platform that acts as a mediator between sea and air ports, local markets, distribution areas, and industrial zones, pointing out that every port needs a logistical support such as this platform, adding that the project achieves many returns. Economic, and parallel to huge projects in other regions of the world, as it reduces waiting time in ports, as well as the logistical cost in general, and also uses solar energy, and contributes to reducing carbon dioxide emissions by 40%, as a very important environmental dimension, and also allows cargo owners to follow their goods through sophisticated systems.
